Food Systems Forward

The Pittsburgh Food Policy Council invites regional partners, community leaders, farmers, advocates, and policymakers to join us for the 3rd Annual Pittsburgh Regional Food Systems Summit.

This year’s summit theme, Food Systems Forward, reflects on progress made through the Greater Pittsburgh Food Action Plan and explores the priorities, partnerships, and opportunities that will shape the next phase of regional food systems work.

Over the past several years, organizations and community leaders across the region have been working together to advance shared goals around food access, urban agriculture, land use, food justice, climate resilience, and regional food infrastructure.

This half-day summit will bring together stakeholders from across the food system to:

• Reflect on the progress made through the Greater Pittsburgh Food Action Plan
• Highlight key initiatives and partnerships shaping the region’s food system
• Identify emerging priorities and opportunities for collaboration
• Engage in dialogue about how we move the work forward together

Participants will hear from regional leaders, practitioners, and community partners while engaging in conversations about the future of the Greater Pittsburgh food system.

Whether you work in agriculture, food access, policy, public health, education, or community development, your voice plays an important role in building a stronger, more equitable food system.
