Educators, employers, industry partners and stakeholders meet for a morning of exploring pioneering ideas and future skills.
About this Event

A highlight of this event will be the chance to see PAL-V, the world’s only road-legal flying car, currently in its final stages of flight certification. The car’s creators will demonstrate how this emerging technology has the potential to support public services, industry, and professional practice across Scotland, Europe, and beyond.

Alongside it, the event will feature the Tartan Space Suit. More than a showcase of advanced design, it represents a thoughtful connection to Scottish heritage and craftsmanship; a reminder that innovation doesn’t exist in isolation - it is shaped by culture, identity, and tradition.

The event will include a series of talks on themes including space, automotive engineering and future skills, followed by a panel discussion on how new technologies will shape future skills needs in our region and beyond.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to speak to Edinburgh College's Engineering team about the courses on offer and our work in electric vehicle and EV charge point training.
