About this Event
Join artists Nancy Agati and Joy Lai for a mindfulness sitting, breathing, and drawing workshop. Through synchronized breath-work, movement, and focusing exercises, we will explore a series of meditative drawing methods loosely referencing the patterns and flow of water. Drawing prompts will offer a variety of techniques to foster contemplative responses and creative flow.
No prior art experience necessary; bring only your curiosity and willingness to participate.
The workshop will take place in the newly installed permeable surface courtyard at DaVinci Art Alliance. The courtyard, Aqua Terrace, will open to the public for contemplation and reflection in April 2024. In addition visitors can learn DIY techniques for creative and decorative water management in urban garden settings.
When registering, if it's within your means, please consider a donation when registering through Eventbrite to help us cover the expenses of this workshop. The cost to run this workshop works out to be $15 per person.
This workshop will have enough materials available for 16 people. If you register to attend, please be mindful we are purchasing supplies for you. If you can no longer come, even if it’s the day of, please let us know so we can open your seat for someone else to be able to use the purchased materials.
