ABOUT NEW FUTURES
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024, New Futures provides scholarships, holistic one-on-one academic and career advising, and career-readiness workshops for young people in the DMV region pursuing community college degrees to advance their education and launch careers in high-demand fields. Our goal is to close the gaps in resources, privilege, and education that perpetuate generational inequity.
To date, New Futures has awarded over $6.5 million in scholarships to over 775 low-income young adults, totaling 460 credentials/degrees earned. With 97% of alumni either employed or pursuing their next degree, New Futures can confidently say that we are achieving our mission.
