CONNECT deeply with yourself | MOVE & SHIFT your energy | RELEASE what isn't serving you
About this Event

Explore meditation in a dynamic fun new way. The class is an un-choreographed, free-moving meditation practice, which encourages self-expression and discovery. It allows you to explore and express how you feel through movement. You don’t have to learn any steps and there’s no pressure to perform, making it easier to relax, allowing the body and mind to get into a state of flow.

The music is used as a conduit to let the mind and body transcend into a state of bliss, using varied tempos, rhythms and melodic moods within the music to support the facilitators guidance and help you to connect to the river of energy flowing within you.

The Flow Dance Meditation Method

This conscious dance program is a vehicle for embodiment, ‘doing the work’ and raising consciousness. Through somatic techniques you will become more deeply connected with yourself, especially your inner world.

FDM invites you to get present, so you can feel it and heal it; in an accessible, fun and dynamic way.

The music that is used plays an important role in helping to drop into a flow state of consciousness.

Connect’, ‘Move’ and ‘Release’ are the three sections of this class.

In between the three sections there is a drone sound which invites you to check in within yourself and using your interoceptive sense feel what is moving through you.

This practice is about finding embodied presence, experiencing yourself in the moment, strengthening your felt sense of self and building awareness so you have more choices in responding to life, instead of getting stuck in reactive states where you only see one way out.

As trauma informed facilitator of Flow Dance Meditation, I hold space with emotional intelligence for participants to; Connect more deeply with themselves; Move and shift their energy; Catharticly release what isn’t serving them so they can find their own unique FLOW.

Event details

In the workshop, we will start the journey with a grounding breathwork, setting the stage for a deeper connection with ourselves. Then, the energy will shift as we delve into a flow dance meditation, accompanied by curated music through silent disco headphones. The facilitator will use her voice to lead and enhance the dance experience.

No experience required - this workshop is open to all, regardless of your background. Feel free to dance with your eyes closed, embracing the music and movement in your own way. Spaces are limited. Join us for a judgement-free, immersive dance journey!
