Florida Wiener Dog Derby XV -Jurassic Bark- with Riverfest in Tampa

Calling all Wiener Dogs and Wanna-Be Wiener Dogs!

A full day of Doggone Fun for the whole family await you at the Florida Wiener Dog Derby.

Come celebrate our 15th anniversary with the biggest and best wiener dog race in the World!

No professional race experience necessary.

Every Wiener and Wanna-Be is invited to join us for this spectacular day of competition.

All ages and all abilities can enter in one of eight divisions:

1. AA Puppy
2. Ween Teen
3. Awesome Adult
4. Frosty Flyers
5. Super Seniors
6. Chariots of Fire Wheelie Dog Race
7. Courageous & Challenged (blind/deaf)
8. The Wanna-Be (any breed under 40 lbs) Race

Not to mention our fun contests throughout the day for ALL BREEDS:

• The K-9 Costume Contest
• The Kissing Contest
• The Tail Wag Contest
• Bad 2da Bone -obedience- Contest
• Best Nose -timed treat seek- Contest
• Speed Trap -we clock your pups run speed & get a speeding ticket-

All our race and contest winners receive medals/trophies and prizes!

We will also have The Grand Raffle and the Silent Art Auction with a variety of items from our sponsors and donors like Publix Gift Cards Top Golf Total Wine Brew Bus Raising Canes Dachshund Wines Tito's Earth Bath Crayola Experience Bark Box Nulo Wiener Dog art pet training items dog mom supplies and so much more!

The event starts at 11 am and runs through 5pm or when our Grand Champion and the Florida National Dachshund Race Champion is crowned.

Our Grand Champion 2nd and 3rd all receive Giant Trophies!

Pre-Registration is required online via our official entry form. There are contest entry fees in which 100% are donated to our partner rescues: Skyway Dachshund Rescue and DARE -Dachshund Adoption Rescue & Education.

This event is held in Downtown Tampa so parking is best in a city run garage. You may also use private lots or metered street parking. We are part of Riverefst so plan for crowds and traffic in the area. You are welcome to bring your own chairs and umbrellas for shade. Food/Drinks are available for purchase within Riverfest.
