About this Event

Flirt Club: Spring Awakening

A queer space for flirting and friendshipThursday 26th March 7:30-10:30pm

Warmer days, longer evenings, and something in the air. Flirt Club is back with Spring Awakening, a playful, queer invitation to shake off the winter and step into something lighter, brighter, and full of fresh energy.

This is a night about new beginnings and gentle awakenings: flirting that feels easy, friendships that start softly, and the kind of connection that grows at its own pace.

Flirt Club is a cosy LGBTQ+ social & dating night with playful games, thoughtful prompts, good drinks, and space to connect in whatever way feels right to you. Warm, cheeky, consent-led, low pressure, and full of queer connection.

Whether you’re open to a spark, hoping to make new friends, or simply craving a night of fresh queer energy, you’re welcome here.

Come solo or with others. Come curious. Come exactly as you are.

Come for the flirting. Stay for the friendships.

Welcome to Flirt Club. Flirty, friendly, fun.

Outfit suggestions

Each event has a theme, and this month we’re welcoming Spring Awakening.

Think pastels, florals, light layers, and soft textures. Blooming, emerging, fresh energy.

Flowers in your hair, bright makeup, or floral prints all very encouraged.

Dress in a way that feels like stepping out of winter and into something new — playful, cosy, flirty, comfy, confident, or quietly radiant.

No pressure to dress up. No expectation to dress sexy. But also totally welcomed.

Just come as you are, with a little spring woven in.

FAQs

What is Flirt Club?

Flirt Club is a queer space for flirting, friendship, and connection. It’s part playful social, part cosy night out. Think: playful party meets cosy queer hangout, with icebreaker games, conversation prompts, and plenty of space to just chat. You join at your own pace: flirt, make friends, or just sip a drink and people-watch.

We’re proudly LGBTQ+ inclusive, ENM-friendly, sex-positive, and consent-led — but you don’t need to be any of those things (except queer 🏳️‍🌈) to come along. All you need is kindness, curiosity, and a willingness to meet new people.

Is it trans & non-binary inclusive?

Always. Flirt Club is proudly trans, non-binary, genderfluid, intersex and questioning-inclusive. This is a space where your pronouns are respected, your identity is valid, and your joy is celebrated.

Can heterosexual cis men come?

Straight men allies, we love you but to truly foster the safe queer vibes we want at Flirt Club, we ask you sit this one out. Flirt Club is a space made by and for queer people. Whether you’re questioning, trans, bi, ace, gay, pan or somewhere in-between, you’re welcome here.

Do I have to be single to come?

Not at all! Flirt Club isn’t just for people looking to date, it’s for anyone who wants to meet new queer people and feel part of a community. Come single, partnered, poly, curious, heartbroken, or “it’s complicated.” You set your own boundaries — flirt, friend, or just vibe.

Do I have to flirt? What if I just want to make friends?

You never have to flirt. Flirt Club is just as much about friendship as it is about romance or sex. You can spend the whole night making new pals, joining games, or having deep chats. Flirt if you want to, friend if you don’t.

I’m coming alone — will I feel awkward?

We get it, walking into a room alone can feel scary. The good news? Loads of people come solo, and the night is designed exactly for that. There are games, gentle prompts, “curiosity corners” and hosts to help get you chatting. You won’t be the only one flying solo, and you probably won’t leave that way!

Is this a speed dating event?

Nope — no timers, no forced small talk. This isn’t speed dating. It’s more like a playful queer social with optional icebreakers, games and cosy spaces to chat at your own pace. If a conversation gets good, you’re free to stay with it.

What should I wear?

Each Flirt Club event has a theme, and this month we’re welcoming Spring Awakening. Think pastels, florals, light layers, and soft textures. Flowers in your hair, bright makeup, or floral prints are all very encouraged. Dress in a way that feels like stepping out of winter and into something new: playful, cosy, flirty, comfy, confident, or quietly radiant. There’s no pressure to dress up and no expectation to dress sexy, but both are totally welcome. Most importantly, come as you are, with a little spring woven in.

What age range is it for?

Flirt Club is open to all adults aged 18+. Most people tend to be in their 20s, 30s and 40s, but we welcome all ages, as long as you’re respectful, open-minded and ready to connect.

I don’t drink alcohol. Is that OK?

Absolutely. There’s zero pressure to drink. The Archives has a gorgeous menu with cocktails available classic strength, one unit or alcohol free, plus non-alcoholic wines and beers and softs, so everyone’s covered.

We’ll even have a Flirt Club cocktail special (both alcoholic and alcohol free). Ordering a drink is also a lovely way to support our host venue and help keep nights like this going.

Is the venue accessible?

The ground floor of The Archives is wheelchair accessible, and you’ll be able to take part in the main areas of the night there. Some activities will take place downstairs in the basement, which is only reachable by stairs. If you have accessibility needs and want more info or support on the night, just drop us a message.

What if I feel uncomfortable or pressured?

Consent is the heartbeat of Flirt Club. All games and conversations are optional, and we ask everyone to get verbal consent before any physical contact, even hugs. If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable, or you just need a moment, come and speak to one of the hosts. We are here for you.
