3… 2.. 1… Blast off! Tamariki learn all about the forces of flight at Space Place’s 4-hour school holiday workshop featuring rocket experiments, vortex cannons and beyond.From making everyday objects fly with a leaf-blower, to observing what happens when you put a marshtronaut (marshmallow-astronaut) into a vacuum chamber, tamariki will come home brimming with new knowledge about how Gravity, Lift, Resistance and Thrust can be used to make cool things happen!
Suitable for ages 8 – 12, the workshop rounds off with a planetarium film.
Tamariki can be dropped-off in the morning and picked-up afterwards; caregivers are not required to stay for the duration of the workshop. Tamariki should bring a packed lunch.
