Sunnudaginn 19. apríl milli kl. 12:30 og 14:30 bjóða Náttúruminjasafn Íslands, Náttúruverndarstofnun og Hafrannsóknarstofnun upp á fjöruferð í Gróttu. Þar kynnumst við töfrum fjörunnar og lærum að þekkja helstu lífverur sem þar búa. Kjörið tækifæri fyrir fjölskyldur til að skemmta sér og tengjast náttúrunni á skemmtilegan hátt.
Grótta sem er í raun eyja sem tengd er við land af mjóum granda sem fer á kaf í flóði er friðlýst svæði vegna fuglaverndunar.
Við hvetjum þátttakendur til að taka með ílát til að auðvelda leitina og vera klædd til að leika sér í fjörunni.
Það eru takmörkuð bílastæði úti við Gróttu og gott ef fólk getur nýtt sér aðra ferðamáta. Strætó nr. 11 stoppar nálægt Gróttu.

On Saturday, April 12th, between 12:30 AM and 2:30 PM, the National Museum of Natural History and the Environmental Agency of Iceland are offering a shore tour at Grótta. There, we will explore the magic of the shore and learn to recognize the main creatures that live there.
A perfect opportunity for families to have fun and connect with nature in an enjoyable way. Grótta, which is actually an island connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway that is submerged at high tide, is a protected area because of bird conservation.
We encourage participants to bring containers to help with the search and to dress appropriately for playing on the shore.
There is limited parking by Grótta, and it's good if people can use other modes of transportation. Bus number 11 goes out to Grótta.
