About this Event
Experience an evening with the FIU Miami GuitART Orchestra, directed by Mesut Özgen. This program brings together a wide-ranging selection of works, from traditional Andean melodies and Renaissance repertoire to contemporary compositions and global influences.
Centered on a large guitar ensemble, the performance highlights the depth, color, and versatility of the instrument's depth in a collaborative setting. The program includes music by John Dowland, Enrique Granados, Carlos Rafael Rivera, and more, alongside engaging arrangements and original compositions.
Founded in 2013, the FIU Miami GuitART Orchestra is dedicated to expanding the guitar ensemble repertoire through innovative programming, commissions, and performances both on and off campus.
