An 8-week, non-competitive program focused on building fundamental cheerleading skills.
About this Event

We are excited to announce the 2nd year of the Fitzwilliam Recreation Cheerleading Program! This non-competitive, high-energy program is designed specifically for children in Pre-K through 4th grade to discover the joy of cheerleading in a supportive, fun environment. We are incredibly proud to announce the return of our partnership with Cedarcrest again this year!

Over the course of 8 weeks, our coaches will guide participants through the fundamental building blocks of cheer, focusing on physical skills, confidence, and the "essential spirit" of being part of a team.

What Participants Will Learn:

The Basics: Proper stretching techniques and safety.
Cheer Fundamentals: Basic jumps, sharp motions, and vocal projection for chants.
Introductory Skills: A beginner's look at tumbling and stunts.
Teamwork: Building a supportive spirit and cheering on one another!

Practice Schedules by Grade Level

All Monday practices take place at the pole barn in Fitzwilliam (Upstairs at Town Hall if raining). Please take note of the specific time and location for your child’s grade level:

Pre-K – Kindergarten Mondays: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM @ the pole barn
1st – 2nd Grade Mondays: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM @ the pole barn
3rd – 4th Grade Mondays : 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM @ the pole barn
Optional Wednesdays: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM @ Cedarcrest (Keene)

Special Opportunity: Cedarcrest Practice

We are looking for 6 enthusiastic cheerleaders (Open to ALL grades, PK–6) to join an optional weekly practice at Cedarcrest in Keene.

This is a truly exciting opportunity for our cheerleaders to practice alongside their peers at Cedarcrest, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

When: Wednesdays, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Where: Cedarcrest, Keene
Availability: Strictly limited to the first 6 participants who sign up for this option!

Registration Details:

Cost: $30 per child.
Gear Included: Every participant receives a special cheer shirt and bow to wear during practices and the final showcase!

Grand Finale Showcase:

Mark your calendars! We want to celebrate all the hard work our cheerleaders have put in. Families are invited to a special showcase where the children will demonstrate their new skills.
