Davy DMX, born David Franklin Reeves Jr. in Beckley, West Virginia, on October 3, 1960, is a versatile artist who taught himself to play various musical instruments, including guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums. His journey in the music industry began in the mid-Seventies when he taught himself to DJ, eventually touring as the DJ for Kurtis Blow in 1979.As a solo artist, Davy DMX made waves with his hip-hop instrumental "One for the Treble (Fresh)" in 1983 and released his first and only full-length album, "Davy's Ride," on Def Jam in 1987.
Davy DMX's impact extends beyond his role as an artist; he has also made significant contributions as a session musician, songwriter, and producer.
