KŪ‘AI MĀKEKE – Inclusive Mini Market | Renaissance of InclusionJoin us during Merrie Monarch Festival week for our First Annual KŪ‘AI MĀKEKE—an inclusive mini market featuring unique arts and crafts created by talented artists with disabilities.
Merrie Monarch represents the ongoing Hawaiian cultural renaissance—honoring tradition, ʻike (knowledge), and ʻike kūpuna (ancestral wisdom). In that same spirit, this event is part of the Renaissance of Inclusion Movement on Hawai‘i Island—uplifting voices, expanding access, and celebrating the diversity of human creativity.
Come experience:
• One-of-a-kind handmade art
• Inclusive, community-centered space
• Local artists sharing their stories and talents
• A celebration of culture, creativity, and connection

Full Life Hawai‘i empowers people with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live self-determined, happy lives. Abled Hawai‘i Artists (AHA) celebrates the full spectrum of creativity by holding intentional, inclusive space for artists of all abilities. Through community, access, and opportunity, AHA challenges barriers, promotes inclusive entrepreneurship in the arts, and reimagines what it means to create, belong, and thrive.
Be part of a movement where art meets purpose and inclusion becomes the foundation of community.
