Local Rockers: "Truck Stop Orphans" bring their blend of Dead Punk Country and Blues Jams to Kukuau Studio on Friday, April 10th.Led by Songwriter Joshua Cook on guitar and lead Vocals, and an eclectic mix of musical styles. Local legend, David Woodward, brings his sticks to the drum throne and his Choir degree to the group's vocals. Robert Jobhe picks psychedelic cosmic country guitar leads to the group's original songs, and his heartfelt singing to the group's VU and Dead covers. Lawrence Currier's Pedal Steel guitar playing features on a rowdy cover of the Stones' "Sweet Virginia", and soars into the stratosphere on the group's song "Angeline".
Rich Talbot, of Buzzy Nelson fame, holds down the low end on Bass. Bringing his years in the Chicago Blues scene, to "the orphans" improvisation jam band vibe, and his original material to the musical DNA of the unit.
