What is the First Aid Club?
The First Aid Club is a weekly, practical club designed to help adults and children build confidence in real-life first aid situations. Sessions are hands-on, supportive, and focused on skills people are most likely to need in everyday emergencies.
All sessions are facilitated by a qualified first aid instructor / first responder (Enhanced DBS) and are age-appropriate, safe, and engaging.
Adult Sessions
- Time: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Who: Adults of all ages (no prior experience needed)
These sessions allow time for explanation, discussion, and hands-on practice, with a strong focus on confidence and real-world scenarios.
Children’s Sessions start at 3:30
Children are grouped by age to ensure sessions are appropriate and engaging.
Ages 4–10 ( 3:30 - 4:15)
- Duration: 45 minutes
- Staying calm
- Getting help
- Basic first aid awareness
- Helping safely, not taking risks
Ages 11–14 (4:30 - 5:15)
- Duration: 45 minutes
- More responsibility-based first aid
- First aid awareness
- Scenario-based learning
- Building confidence to act appropriately
Ages 14+ (5:30- 6:30)
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Dealing with a first aid emergency
- CPR, AED, Recovery Position
- Scenario-based learning
- Building confidence to act appropriately
Important Things to Know
- This is a club, not a formal qualification course
- No exams or assessments
- Comfortable clothing recommended for practical activities
- Children’s sessions require parental consent
- Places may be limited to keep sessions safe and hands-on
