About this Event
FOOD JAM - Supperclub Events in RM13
A new series of supperclub events in RM13 starting this April. These dinner evenings are a chance to try new flavours from local people who love to cook, learn about the origins of their cuisine, and meet new people in your community who have a similar love for food and togetherness.
Supperclubs are sometimes known as ‘pop-up restaurants’; or ‘underground dining’. But it is much more than that. It is about community and a way to bring people together through food. Always set in a relaxed atmosphere, the evening is usually laid back with food from different cultures and backgrounds.
A Journey to Nepal
Himalayan Dishes with Mountains of Flavours
To kick off our supperclub series we bring local chef Rajiv who is sharing his love of cooking Nepali food using locally sourced ingredients.
Having been raised in the surroundings of the mountains and rivers in Nepal, Rajiv grew up using fresh herbs and spices for cooking that were often obtained through foraging. He began cooking from a very early age from observing his mum, aunts, uncles and grandma.
It’s not like Indian or Chinese food, the general misconception, but a bit of both and more.
