About the Fireside Sessions
These Fireside Sessions aim to offer a space for all to gather around the Salisbury Centre fire and enjoy music, songs and hamonies.
In these times of uncertainty and division, it feels more important than ever to gather, to support one another, and to keep alive the flame of solidarity, inspiration, and shared humanity. These sessions invite us to come together around the Salisbury Centre fire for evenings of devotional harmonies, soul-enriching music, poetry, and prayers—where art and spirit become medicine for our collective resilience.
Here we:
- Nurture our soul, mind, and body by sitting together in circle around the fire.
- Build and strengthen community in a safe space to simply be, to receive and to sing.
- Share meaningful and inspiring music, poems, stories, and life experiences.
- Witness and be witnessed in ways that build solidarity, mutual support, and heart-connection.
- Reignite ancient traditions of gathering, while honouring cross-cultural indigenous wisdom.
- Connect to a sense of spiritual nourishment , opening ourselves to the deeper flow and magic of life.
These evenings are an offering of hope and belonging—an antidote to isolation, and a reminder that community, creativity, and spirit can nourish the path toward peace and unity, as well as insire us to take Action

About Joanie Bone - (Special guest)
We’re honoured to welcome Joanne (Joanie Bones) as our guest musician for this fireside concert. A devoted singer and dharma practitioner, Joanne weaves Buddhist teachings into song, bringing the path to life through voice, mantra, and shared presence. Trained through the Tergar Institute under Mingyur Rinpoche and shaped by years of meditation and practice in Nepal, her offerings open a heartfelt doorway into themes such as refuge, bodhicitta, impermanence, and buddha nature—equally nourishing for seasoned practitioners and those newly curious about the dharma. Gather by the fire for an evening of deep listening, embodied prayer, and songs that speak directly to the heart.
"What a special gift Joanie possesses! She brings songs and mantras to life with her creativity and dedication"
