WIA Vancouver is thrilled to host Rebecca Sugar and Ian Jones-Quartey in person in Vancouver BC on Saturday April 13th.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Fireside Chat: Join Rebecca Sugar and Ian Jones-Quartey for an intimate conversation from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by a Q&A session.
Networking Mixer: From 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, mingle with fellow attendees and seize the chance to meet Rebecca and Ian in person. Get your items signed and capture the moment with a photo opportunity.

AGENDA/RUN OF SHOW:
4:00 PM: Doors Open to allow attendees to go through registration and find a seat.
5PM-6:30 PM: Fireside chat with Q&A
6:30-9:00PM: Networking mixer and meet and greet opportunity with Rebecca and Ian. (Signing and photo opportunity). Limited edition print will be distributed for signing opportunity. Feel free to bring your own items/art to sign if you wish.
BIOS:
REBECCA SUGAR (she/they) is an animator, director, screenwriter, executive producer, and songwriter. They are best known for creating the Emmy-Nominated, GLAAD and Peabody award-winning series, STEVEN UNIVERSE. Prior, they were a writer, storyboard artist, and songwriter on ADVENTURE TIME. After writing over sixty songs for animation, Rebecca recently released their first personal album, “Spiral Bound,” based on three years of journaling in spiral bound notebooks. Rebecca has been fighting for LGBTQIA+ content in children’s media since 2010, and for a more inclusive environment both on screen and behind the scenes in the animation industry.
IAN JONES-QUARTEY is an Emmy- and Annie-nominated showrunner, director, animator and voice actor. He is the creator of the Cartoon Network animated series OK K.O.! LET’S BE HEROES, and an Executive Producer on STEVEN UNIVERSE and STEVEN UNIVERSE: THE MOVIE. He was also a supervisor on Cartoon Network's ADVENTURE TIME and animation director on Adult Swim's THE VENTURE BROS. His passion for animation history and his ability to merge brilliant storytelling with resourceful production strategies earned him a glowing reputation in the animation world, making him one of the most coveted collaborators in the field.
