Into the Thaw documents this journey with alternate natural history and memoir narratives, sharing the wonder of a place that is rapidly changing and what it looks like to protect what’s left.
Breakout Session A: The ice is melting and our options are to mitigate and adapt. What does it look like to adapt, and to communicate what adaptations will be needed in a changed future? Panelists Karine Gagne, Ignacio Palomo and Kate Hanley bring perspectives from mountain guides, nature-positive adaptation and human connections to ice in the Indian Himalaya. Moderated by Graham McDowell.
Breakout Session B: How do we move forward in the communication of a changing planet and inspire hope and courage so that collectively, we can work towards a better future? Moderated by Graham Zimmerman with panelists Kate Neville, Len Necefer and Amber Bennett.
