Finding Your Voice: Self Portraiture and Artistic Practice-high school

9th-12 grade students.

A hybrid art workshop and forum for budding artists, Allison Green will conduct an exciting self-portraiture exercise, and discuss what it means to cultivate an artistic practice. Students will experiment with visually representing ‘self’ using only recycled materials, like scrap paper and fabric. Allison Green will then host an informational artist talk, covering everything from her own artistic practice and profession, to participants’ own artistic goals, and the path to achieving them.
