This six week course will be very comprehensive for someone wanting to start researching their family history, but unsure of the process. Content will include sources, methodology, organisation, repositories, DNA, and much more. Registrations will be limited to 10 people.
The cost includes:
- The book, Where do I start?: a brief guide to researching your family in Australia and New Zealand by Shauna Hicks (rrp$19).
- For non-members, complimentary use of the QFHS Library and Resource Centre for the term of the course.

Cancellation and non-attendance policy
To qualify for a full refund, notice of cancellation must be received by QFHS, in writing, prior to the beginning of the course. (email: [email protected]) After the course has begun, refunds will only be made in the case of serious illness or family emergency. The amounts refunded in such situations will be at the discretion of the QFHS Education Sub-Committee.
When a participant cannot attend a particular session, the participant will receive all session materials and resources, but no pro-rata refund will be applied.
