16th & 23rd October: Creative Minds: Zebras, Words and Craftism
This hands on creative, and playful workshop will take you on an imaginative journey using: poetry, art, beading, badge making, hacky sacks and a life-size, free-standing Zebra silhouette. Together the group will explore themes linked to Viv Gordon’s Cutting Out, including: This one’s me; connection, community, hands and paper dolls. As a group we shall create memory anchors to take away and link with the experience of being in the group. There will be a beautiful craftivism project- centred on a life size zebra, that together, we will fill with our words, voices, colour and art. No experience necessary. All equipment provided.
Susannah Eggar is a CSA survivor who previously trained in psychology and taught in schools for twenty years. She now runs Creative Minds Taunton working with adults and young people who are survivors of abuse. Susannah utilises different tools of expression such as: creative writing, art, animation and timelapse film. Susannah believes that there can be colour, light, connection and expression even when things seem dark.
