The Encinitas Youth Commission is hosting a free Financial Literacy event designed for middle and high schoolers. Parents are encouraged to attend too.

Three local speakers will cover:

Craig Ward — Banking, Credit & Debt Understanding bank accounts, credit scores, loans and avoiding debt

Eric Gray — Goal Setting, Budgeting & Saving Setting financial goals, building savings and emergency funds, and the power of compound interest

Tommy Yarbrough — Young Adult Financial Decisions College costs vs. ROI, understanding student loans, and financial mistakes to avoid
