Financial Foundations III: Banking Basics
Banks play a big role in everyday life, but many people aren’t taught how to use them effectively. In this workshop, we’ll cover the basics of banking so you can manage your money safely and confidently.
You’ll learn how to:
- Distinguish between different types of financial institutions
- Understand the services banks offer and how different bank accounts work
- Identify and choose banking services and accounts that meet your needs
- Use bank services safely, including cheques and online transfers
- Protect your banking information and recognize common scams
