Financial Empowerment Workshops (Financial Literacy Education)

The Welcoming Center is launching a financial literacy education series: Financial Empowerment Workshops, designed to help immigrant participants build financial knowledge and long-term stability. This four-part series responds directly to participant feedback and covers the following:
· Credit Scores & Building Credit (two-part series)
· Taxes & Tax Returns
· Saving for Retirement (including workplace retirement plans)
· A key goal of this initiative is to help participants connect directly with bankers, so they understand how to safely and confidently access financial products such as checking and savings accounts, secured credit cards, credit-builder loans, and retirement savings options.
