GEOMETRISKE LYDEKSPERIMENTER OG KOMPAKT EKSPRESSIONISME
Koncertarrangøren FIMARA besøger igen Cap30. Vi er i centrum af det eksperimenterende landskab med to yderst originale musikere inden for impro-kartografien.
Den afro-peruanske cajón udforskes gennem improvisationer, med percussionist og lydkunstner, Felipe Araya. Den chilenske Araya eksperimenterer med cajónens lydunivers og geometri i utraditionelle positioner og teknikker. Der gnides, slås og skrabes med mulige og umulige materialer og teksturer.
Aftenens andet sæt skabes af saxofonisten og komponisten, Lotte Anker, en af de mest rutinerede kræfter på den danske jazz- og eksperimentalscene. Det musikalske afsæt er saxofonkoryfæer som John Coltrane og Wayne Shorter, og Anker tager musikken til et grænseland mellem den eksperimenterende, improviserende jazz og samtidsmusik. Musikken rummer både melodiske, ofte fragmenterede kompositioner og mere abstrakte, teksturelle elementer i et lydbillede, der bevæger sig mellem drøm og virkelighed, fra minimalisme og transparens til tæt og mørk ekspressionisme.

OM FIMARA
FIMARA er akronym for koncertformatet ‘For Improvised Music and Related Actions’. Et nomadisk format, der sigter efter at samle improvisatorer og kunstnere i diverse konstellationer på scener i og omkring København. FIMARA udforsker musikken og de mulige forbundne udtryk og/eller grænser gennem improvisation som den såkaldte Free Jazz, Sound Art og Noise. I de kommende måneder organiserer FIMARA en række koncerter og ad-hoc konstellationer på Cap30.

OM CAP30
Cap30 er Københavns mindste og mest intime kultursted. Et non-profit venue der eksperimenterer med musik, kunst, performances, talks og meget mere.
Dørene åbner 30 min. inden et show og lukker, når koncerten starter. Herefter er der ikke adgang til koncertsalen.

GEOMETRIC SOUND EXPERIMENTS AND COMPACT EXPRESSIONIM
We are at the heart of the experimental landscape with two highly original musicians within the improvisational cartography, when the concert organizer FIMARA visits Cap30 for the second time.
The Afro-Peruvian cajón is explored through improvisations by percussionist and sound artist Felipe Araya. The Chilean Araya experiments with the sonic universe and geometry of the cajón in untraditional positions and techniques, such as rubbing, striking, and scraping with both possible and impossible materials and textures.
The second set of the evening is created by saxophonist and composer Lotte Anker, one of the most seasoned forces on the Danish jazz and experimental scene. While her musical foundation is rooted in saxophone legends such as John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter, Anker brings her music to the borderlands between experimental, improvisational jazz and contemporary music. Her music includes both melodic, often fragmented compositions and more abstract, textural elements, creating a soundscape that moves between dream and reality, from minimalism and transparency to dense, dark expressionism.

FIMARA is an acronym for “For Improvised Music and Related Actions”.
It is a concert series aimed at gathering improvisers and related artists from Copenhagen’s scenes and beyond. FIMARA focuses on improvised music and the potential interwoven musical expressions and/or boundaries, such as the so-called Free Jazz, Sound Art, and Noise. In the upcoming months FIMARA will organize a series of concerts and ad-hoc constellations at Cap30.

ABOUT CAP30
Cap30 is Copenhagen's smallest and most intimate cultural venue. A non-profit space experimenting with music, art, performances, talks, and much more.
Doors open 30 minutes before the show and close when the concert starts. Entry after the doors are closed is not permitted
The restroom is on the first floor, accessible by stairs. There is no elevator.
