Polish version below

"Songs about love" turned out to be the biggest hit of the 2021 edition of the most important festival of Polish cinema in Gdynia. Tomasz Habowski's debut is a strong, new voice of Polish cinema. Bittersweet like the best indie pop track and striking the most sensitive chords – where love meets calculation, and passion meets career. The romantic "Songs..." will surely delight fans of "Frances Ha", "Once" or "Before Sunrise".
She is a girl from a block of flats in a small town, he comes from a wealthy, well-known Warsaw family. She waitresses and sings about what is playing in her soul, he dreams of releasing an album that would rub the nose of his famous father-actor. They get to know each other when she is serving a party where he is partying. They will be united by their love for music, they will be separated by ambitions and dreams. The fragile feeling that arises between them is constantly put to the test: she is constantly running away from him, he can lie like a nut. Can two such different sounds harmonise? How many times in life is an encore possible?

Tomasz Habowski's film is also a story about a woman's struggle for independence and finding her own voice. The singer of The Dumplings, Justyna Święs, making her debut in the cinema, created a character who combines incredible talent with an equally powerful lack of self-confidence. But "Songs about love" are sung in a duet: Święs and great in the role of a lost boy Tomasz Włosok ("Corpus Christi", "How I Became a Gangster. A True Story", "Green Border", "Kulej") form an electrifying couple, between which emotions jump like sparks. Stars of the stage and screen orbit around them, including Andrzej Grabowski, Patrycja Volny, Krzysztof Zalewski, Iga "Ofelia" Krefft. The fantastic music for the film was composed by Kamil "Holden" Kryszak, who collaborated with Marcelina and the Karaś/Rogucki duo.

„Piosenki o miłości” okazały się największym przebojem ostatniego festiwalu w Gdyni. Debiut Tomasza Habowskiego to mocny, nowy głos polskiego kina.

Ona jest dziewczyną z bloku w małym mieście, on pochodzi z zamożnej, znanej warszawskiej rodziny.

Debiutująca w kinie wokalistka The Dumplings, Justyna Święs, wykreowała postać, która łączy niesamowity talent z równie potężnym brakiem wiary w siebie.
