📽️ Organized by GRÓ GEST – Gender Equality Studies & Training Programme💡 Made possible with support from ERASMUS+
Join us for a special screening of Women in Time, a compelling documentary that traces the history of the Lebanese women’s movement from the late 19th century until the outbreak of the civil war in 1975. Through the voices of feminist pioneers, the film sheds light on the struggles and triumphs of women who fought for gender justice, preserving their legacy as an essential part of Lebanon’s feminist and cultural history.
Following the screening, we are honored to host Myriam Sfeir, Executive Director of the Arab Institute for Women at the Lebanese American University, for an engaging discussion. With over 25 years of experience in women’s rights and gender equality, Myriam is a leading expert on the feminist movement in Lebanon. This is a unique opportunity to explore the movement’s history, challenges, and ongoing impact through her insights.
✨ This event is free and open to all! We encourage students, researchers, activists, and anyone interested in gender justice and feminist history to join us.
