Celebrate International Women’s Day with a Film Photography Portrait Session

Have you ever wanted to take stunning portraits on film using studio lighting? Do you wish you knew how to direct a model with confidence and capture their best angles? Join us for a hands-on, women-only film photography workshop led by Alicia—experienced film photographer with her own home studio—alongside MandyLeft.
This 4-hour immersive session is designed to help you master the art of shooting portraits on film in a studio setting.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to use studio lights with film – metering, adjusting settings, and balancing light
- Directing a model – guiding poses, creating mood, and bringing out the best expressions
- Composing strong portraits – framing, angles, and creative techniques
- Shooting workflow – preparing your set, interacting with your model, and capturing intentional shots
What to Bring:
- A film camera (any format is welcome!)
- At least one roll of film (ISO 100 or 200 recommended, color or black & white)
How the Session Works:
Watch & Learn: Alicia will demonstrate how to work with a model, set up the lighting, and fine-tune your camera settings for the best results.
Shoot Your Own Portraits: You’ll each have dedicated time to work with the model, experiment with poses, and practice everything you’ve learned.
Small Group, Big Impact: Spaces are very limited to ensure a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where everyone gets plenty of shooting time.
