To celebrate Black History Month, UoM ACMS and OGSoc are hosting an event dedicated to exploring the gaps in healthcare education focusing on how they affect Black women’s health.Women’s health is often underrepresented in medical teaching, and Black women in particular are frequently left out of these conversations. This leads to disparities in care and outcomes that we must work together to address.
This seminar marks the first instalment of ACMS’ “Filling the Gap” series, aiming to educate, inspire, and spark change within the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Whether you’re a healthcare student, a Black woman, or someone with a desire to learn about the inequalities faced, join us for an evening of guest speakers, passionate advocates, and inspiring Black women in healthcare as we learn, reflect, and take steps toward a more inclusive and equitable future.
This is a free event however we are supporting MAMA CHARITY, and donating sanitary products to their period poverty drive, we’d appreciate it if you could bring a product to help support this cause.
