Figure Drawing / Explore the Creativity of hUman Form

This is a relaxed, non-instructional live drawing session with a nude model. This is for artists of all levels and backgrounds. A live model, boards, paper, and dry mediums are provided along with music, a cozy spot to sit, and an opportunity to take advantage of dedicated creative time.

This space is intended to open up connections on both the creative and communal sides of ourselves as we celebrate the human landscape and make art together.

We start off each session with a greeting and introduction of the model. The session will start with 6 or 7 one minutes poses to warm up, switch to 3 minute poses (3-4) and then crescendo into 5 and 10 minute poses as we go on. I time and announce all of this so that it is clear to the model when to switch the pose up.

It is a free flowing type of event, so folks are welcome to move about as they need. After the last pose, folks tend to share with each other what they’ve drawn! This is the best part.

* Absolutely no photos of the model. I encourage putting phones away during the drawing time to fully engage in the activity.
