Carin Hebenstreit has painted portraits of some of the most famous citizens of our city and has been teaching both figurative drawing and portrait painting for 30 years. Hebenstreit's paintings are collected around the world and in galleries and personal collections. Her style of teaching is informal, taking each artist where they are and suggesting alternatives and improvments, in their development and their images. Her strategies involve artists drawing images from model's poses ranging from very short to long durations, each day of the class.
