6:00 PM | ARRIVAL
Live DJ spinning Haitian kompa and Cape Verdean morna. Explore ingredient displays. Browse chef merchandise.
6:30 PM | CHEF INTRODUCTIONS
Each chef shares their story (10 minutes each):
• Where food meets memory
• Migration journeys
• Why this dish matters to their family
7:00 PM | LIVE COOKING SHOWDOWN
Side-by-side cooking stations. Play-by-play commentary. Ask questions while they cook. Smell the aromatics. Feel the heat.

8:15 PM | TASTING & VOTING
Everyone receives both dishes. Digital + paper voting. Winner determined by audience.
While you eat: Cultural music and dance performances.
8:45 PM | GOLDEN LADLE CEREMONY
Winner announced. Trophy presentation. Group photo. (Spoiler: Everyone wins when we celebrate culture.)
🌳 THE FOOD-TO-TREE CONNECTION
During the event, chefs discuss ingredients that come from trees (coconut, mango, lime). We're planting 100 fruit trees across Atlanta so future chefs can cook with local orchard ingredients.
20 attendees (selected via raffle) will receive fruit tree saplings to take home!
