About this Event
Mothers + Daughters: Self-Defense, Connection, and Embodied Confidence
What does it mean to feel safe—in your body, in your voice, and alongside one another?
Join us for an evening designed for mothers and daughters to move, learn, and grow side by side—building practical self-defense skills while deepening connection with each other.
Inside this space, we’ll cultivate connection, compassion, and curiosity as the foundation for how we move through the world.
Together, you’ll be introduced to the “3 A’s” of self-defense:
- Awareness — noticing what’s happening within and around you
- Assessment — trusting your instincts and reading a situation clearly
- Action — responding with confidence and intention
Guided by experienced instructors, you’ll learn simple, effective techniques inspired by the Seven Principles of Shinobi Self Defense—focused on positioning, timing, and using your body wisely.
Alongside the physical practice, Hey Birdie will guide moments of authentic connection and reflection, supporting:
- Stronger bonds between mothers and daughters
- Trust in the intelligence and power of the female body
- The experience of being seen, heard, and supported
Expect movement, learning, and a sense of grounded confidence you can carry into everyday life.
You’ll leave with practical tools—and a deeper trust in yourself and each other.
