An unofficial tour of the GTA24 show at MOCA by Lisa Myers and Toleen Touq.
About this Event

The Greater Toronto Art 24 Triennial exhibition, which opened last month at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), demonstrates how historical and ongoing migratory movements have shaped the city’s cultural and artistic landscape. The show includes the work of 25 artists whose roots/routes span from Palestine to Port-au-Pince to Port Severn. This “field trip” is an unprecedented opportunity to engage with the exhibition in two separate segments.

5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Walkthrough with Toleen TouqPreviously based in Amman, Jordan, Touq is a curator, cultural producer, and writer whose approach uses site responsiveness as a methodology to build radical pedagogical platforms and alternative knowledge systems. Touq is one of the three curators of the exhibition and will facilitate a summary and thoughtful engagement with the exhibition.

6:00 - 6:45 p.m. Walk with Lisa MyersLisa Myers is an independent curator and artist with a keen interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. She considers walking and cooking research methods for art making. On this occasion, Myers takes us on her new audio and augmented reality walk, Aki's Echo, created for GTA24.Follow the tips below to make the best out of this experience:
