Participants will learn fiber arts skills such as sewing, weaving, crocheting, knitting, and mending throughout this workshop. These basic life skills can be applied to create functional items and wearables, as well as repairing existing garments and household items to extend their lives! We will have ongoing conversations about sustainability and the life cycles of different fiber materials, fast fashion vs slow fashion, and the impact of crafting and handwork on mental health.
When registering, if it's within your means, please consider a donation when registering through Eventbrite to help us cover the expenses of this workshop.
This workshop will have enough materials available for 15 people. If you can no longer come, even if it’s the day of, please let us know so we can open your seat for someone else.
