Victory Samosa are a four piece rock and roll band from York consisting of Will Evans, Ed Sutherland, Matt Wilson and Louis Edge.
The band formed in York in December 2022 and immediately set about making a name for themselves around the city, building a dedicated following by playing shows at iconic local venues like The Crescent and The Fulford Arms as well as playing at Beatherder Festival and the LNER Community Stadium. The band have also been mentioned on BBC Radio 6 Music with Huw Stephens declaring; “Great Name”!
The band effortlessly span multiple genres throughout their energetic performances to form a satisfying mix of memorable pop hooks with an emphasis on tightly honed writing and harmonies.
Merging classic and contemporary influences from Talking Heads and The Beatles to Arctic Monkeys and Blossoms, the band is known for their high-energy live shows and catchy songs that have already become firm favourites on the York music scene.
Victory Samosa will release their first single this year, a Double A-Side (‘I Ain’t Quite The Same Without You / My Jealous Hands’) that showcases their unique sound.
The band will also be performing live at venues and festivals around the country.

Ceejay is a unique force of nature and definitely turns heads with his catchy hooks and infectious energy.
His writing style, which has been branded as punky urban folk, takes
influence from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eminem, Jack white and Bob
Marley.
From growing up in Scotland with disability and trauma, surrounded by
addiction and hardship, he tells tales of his experiences and his
frustration with the trippy world around him. He has a truly unique story to tell and has had one hell of a crazy life to date.
Now with his gang of Missfits who bring their own unique style to the live show, they are definitely a force to be reckoned with. Expect high energy and a lot of dancing!
