Join the Society and Recreation department of the North York Central Library in Rm. 101 for monthly screenings of fiction and non-fiction films that push the boundaries of the medium. This month we are showing Karen Moncrieff's Blue Car (2002).
Synopsis (Imprint Films): Having been abandoned by her father and neglected by her overworked mother, young Meg (Agnes Bruckner) turns to her English teacher (David Strathairn) for solace and inspiration. But the safety of what begins as a mentoring relationship turns increasingly complex.
This critically acclaimed indie drama was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards.
