Fergus OntarioHello Fibre Friends and the Fiberly Curious!
We would like to invite you to our grand event of all things locally fibre - the Fergus Fibre Festival, on May 23rd! This is a free, rain or shine event…it’s an outdoor street festival of wool, yarn, fibre, fibre arts, knitting, crochet, needle felting, corking, hooking, weaving, spinning, cranking, flax-smackin, animal tending, mending, slow fashion, and more! It’s an artsy array of colour to get your creativity flowing whilst supporting our local farmers, makers and fibre artists.
There will be 60+ vendors, food trucks, fibre bearing animals and their care-takers, exhibitions, artistry and of course (because we are Fergus) BAG PIPERS! Even our brass band will come out for the show.
All this takes place on St Andrew Street, downtown, where we close the street to traffic and open it to creativity (we also have a free shuttle bus to cart you back and forth to convenient parking). Not only do you have the festivities of fibre going on, but all the lovely shops, boutiques, pubs, bottle shops, galleries and more lining the quaint downtown. Take a walk along the Grand River, see the sites…
Come for the yarn, stay for the day!
