Based in Washington, DC, they have quickly established themselves as a headlining act and as broad-reaching collaborators, drawing large crowds at some of DC's most iconic regional venues (Songbyrd, Pearl Street Warehouse) and community music festivals (Fridays at the Fountain, AdMo/Petworth Porchfest). Their debut effort “Wrong Side of the Sun” was released on August 15th 2025.

Chris Cassaday is a singer-songwriter and band leader based out of Washington, DC. He is the guitarist and vocalist of the band “The Cassaday Concoction” and founded the band in the summer of 2018. In the past three years, The Cassaday Concoction has been making waves on the live concert circuit. The band, comprised of Chris, lead guitarist Brian Gerrard, bassist Dom Ryan and drummer Adam Bush, have proven quickly that they are must-see performers with their exciting blend of blues, rock, funk, and soul. The band has started including special guests such as trombone players and violinists in their shows has taken their live performances to a whole new level, allowing them to start playing large theatres and other venues where they regularly bring out 200+ people to their performances.
They have shared the stage with huge acts such as Burn The Ballroom and Ballyhoo, playing to upwards of 800 people. The band has also begun hitting the road, playing multiple dates at different locations up and down the east coast. and making new friends and fans at every show along the way.
