About this Event

Smt. Shirin Sengupta Nath is one of the best Indian classical vocalists from Kolkata, India having performed in major music festivals & venues in more than 25 countries since last 24 years . She is the winner of President's award & is a topper in both Graduation & Masters level exam from Rabindra Bharati University & perusing her PhD( Doctoral research) in Music from Viswabharati University. She has been a senior Fellow of the Ministry of Culture , Govt. of India & an empaneled artist with ICCR , Ministry of External Affairs. She is an A grade Artist of All India Radio & Television & acting as the President of her institute called Monomanjari IPAR. She g us as many CD & DVD releases worldwide & many of her students are receiving National & International scholarship under her guidance .

Her accompanist on Mandolin is Rajarshi Sengupta, playing a custom made 19 stringed Indian classical Mandolin . He has been a child scholar of the Ministry of culture & recently was awarded the prestigious Scholarship to young Artists by the Ministry of Culture , Govt of India. He has participated in international Music festivals in Germany , Estonia , England , Switzerland , the Netherlands , Hungary , Czech Republic & France to name a few .

The evening's tabla artist is Mainak Banerjee - one of the best Tabla player from Kolkata , India having performed in India & abroad. He is a student of Pandit Anindo Chatterjee & an empaneled artist with ICCR , Ministry of External Affairs.
