About this Event
I don't know about you, but January brings up lots of emotions for me. Is this also the case for you?
Good news - I am running a workshop all about feelings this month!
In this workshop, you will get to learn how to use the FEELING WHEEL through art and writing.
✨Create your own feeling cards to deepen your understanding of how you feel. Write a message to the feeling at the back of your card, get to know it more, make friends with it and understand what it is trying to tell you.
👉🏼 In this creative therapeutic activity, I make reference to The Feeling Wheel developed by Dr Gloria Willcox. I use this as a practice for myself as well as with art therapy clients and in workshops.
💥 The Feelings Wheel can help you develop emotional literacy and identify and verbalize complex emotions.
Most importantly, understanding your emotions helps you realize there isn't something wrong with you; it's just something you are going through, which relieves a sense of helplessness.
✨Have you thought about your own emotional literacy? How well do you understand your feelings?✨
Join me on Wednesday 22nd January for this special workshop to deepen our understanding of our emotions and expand our emotional literacy together!
The workshop:
- 2 hours of exploration, art, writing
- Shoreditch, London
- open to any one and any age
- facilitated by an artist & art therapist
- no art experience needed!
- all art material will be provided!
- tickets limited to 10 spaces only
Here is what participants shared about this workshop:
✨Very creative and reflective, it allows time and free space to just express.
✨Very good workshop, your reassurance that everyone can be creative and that there is no judgement was particularly helpful to me, thank you
✨Positive, caring and engaging a wonderful start to the week
✨I liked Denise’s calm energy, how she structured the workshop, it felt like 5 minutes, time passed so quickly and i learnt a lot about my emotions, very healing
✨ I always shied away from creativity, so attending today was not easy at first, but I have felt surprisingly comfortable, and feel this has opened a new door for me, that it’s possible
✨Easy to follow, clearly delivered and well paced. Very relevant to what I was expecting. Thank you!
