This seminar is for admission to the Western District of Texas and a practice refresher for previously admitted attorneys.

This popular seminar hosted by the San Antonio Chapter of the FBA satisfies one of the requirements for admission to practice in the Western District of Texas. It also provides previously admitted lawyers with a refresher and valuable CLE credits. This seminar addresses nine substantive topics pertinent to federal practice. San Antonio judges and prominent attorneys present all instruction. Questions during the seminar are welcome and encouraged.

TIME: Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Welcome at 8:45 a.m. Presentations run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
LOCATION: United States Federal Courthouse, 262 W. Nueva Street, Jury Assembly Room
MCLE: 6.0 hours, including 1.5 hour of ETHICS

Admission to Practice in the Western District of Texas: The Court admission application, fees, and ceremony are separate from the FBA Seminar registration and its fees. The FBA does not make any decisions on whether an attorney is approved for admission to the Bar of the Court. Among other things, the Court’s Admission Committee requires a written application for admission to practice before the Court, supported by specified materials, and an admissions fee paid to the District Clerk. Please contact the United States District Clerk’s Office at: [email protected] with any questions relating to admission requirements for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. The FBA cannot answer any questions that you have about admission to practice in the Western District.
