About this Event
DC EcoWomen invites you to our February Eco Book Club, a welcoming space to connect with fellow environmentally minded women and allies over a meaningful environmental read.
Our selected book, The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer, explores themes of reciprocity, gift economies, gratitude, and our relationship with the natural world. Through storytelling and Indigenous ecological wisdom, the book invites us to reimagine sustainability, community, and what it means to live in balance with the Earth. Whether you finish every chapter or just want to listen and learn, youβre welcome to join the conversation.
This book club is designed to be:
π± Inclusive & low-pressure β come as you are
π¬ Discussion-focused β thoughtful conversation over academic critique
π€ Community-building β connect with others passionate about environmental impact
Discussion prompts will be shared ahead of the event. Bring your curiosity, questions, and reflections β and feel free to bring a friend!
