About this Event
join us for a spring migration birding outing at latta park!
latta might be a city park, but the tree canopy and creek turn it into a really active stopover for migrating birds. warblers are the main event, but we’ll also be on the lookout for whatever else is moving through.
this outing is open to everyone, whether you’re brand new to birding or have been doing this for a long time.
we’ll keep a slower pace with plenty of stops to watch, listen, and learn together. we’ll definitely spend some time posted up on benches too.
what to expect:
• easy, mostly flat walking with a mix of paved + dirt paths
• a few short hills down toward the creek (totally optional)
• shaded areas under tree canopy + some open lawn space
• benches and spots to pause throughout
• bathrooms and water fountains available

parking + arrival:
we’ll meet in the parking area across from the gazebo on e. park avenue.
🚨 important:
this walk is capped at 15 people since latta is a smaller park. please only sign up if you can make it and cancel if anything changes so someone from the waitlist can join!
bring what you have:
• binoculars (we’ll have extras to share)
• water
• comfy walking shoes
