About this Event
We’re back with another sweet celebration of heritage and heart!Join FarmerJawn and Lizzie’s Love Cakes for a soulful afternoon of storytelling, baking, and remembrance. In this hands-on workshop, you'll create mini pound cakes-lovingly called "Love Bites"—while learning baking tips and the powerful stories behind the recipes. This month’s theme is "ONLY LOVE GROWS". Our mothers. Our Ancestors. Our soil.Honoring the profound love of our ancestral mothers. As we gathered in kitchens filled with the warmth of our ancestral recipes, we not only nourished our bodies but also our spirits, honoring those who came before us. Baking becomes a sacred act, a way to connect with our roots. Each bite is a reminder of the love they poured into their creations—a love that transcends time and space.Through sharing these stories and recipes, we celebrate the richness of our heritage. We acknowledge the strength of the women who shaped us, grounding us in our identity.
Only Love Grows is an act of remembrance for the soil that nurtures not just our food, but also our very being. Together, we honor our past while creating new memories, ensuring that the legacy of love continues.
On 10/11 we’ll honor Karen Holland also known as Kay Rock, celebrating her impeccable style, love of music and her profound appreciation for family that she instilled in her daughters.
