As we strive towards a momentous occasion, FA-MLI, Inc. extends an earnest invitation for your support and sponsorship of our Second Annual MALCOLM X Human Rights Breakfast. Set to transpire on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from the hallowed hours of 10 am until 1:30 pm, this historic event will unfold at the venerable Consolidated Realty, nestled at 3725 Don Felipe Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90008.
Our chosen theme, "Education is our Passport to the Future," resonates deeply with FA-MLI's distinguished youth life mastery and mentoring initiatives, namely See a Man Be a Man (SAMBAM) and Princess 2 Queen (P2Q). These award-winning programs, rooted in the foundational pillars of Spirituality, Culture, Career, Education, Economics, Politics, Health, Family, and Personal Responsibility, have steadfastly nurtured the minds and spirits of our youth, boasting a remarkable 100% graduation rate for the last ten years. Moreover, 70% of our students have matriculated to college, while 10% have enlisted in the military, another 10% have pursued trade schools, and the remaining 10% have ventured directly into their chosen career paths.
For this distinguished affair, we humbly request your gracious support through table donations of $500 a table and individual ticket contributions of $50. Rest assured, all donations are tax deductible, with a portion of the proceeds dedicated to bolstering our youth advocacy endeavors.
FA-MLI, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been a beacon of artistic expression, mentoring, leadership, and innovation since its inception in 1992. Our mission is simple yet profound: To empower youth and community residents through dynamic educational and artistic endeavors. From educational conferences and symposia to community arts festivals and annual cultural tours to New Orleans, Louisiana, our commitment to fostering growth and enlightenment knows no bounds.
The Second Annual MALCOLM X Human Rights Breakfast stands as a testament to our enduring dedication. As the sole event of its kind in Los Angeles over the past four decades, this breakfast holds profound significance within FAMLI's Malcolm X Legacy Project. In addition to delectable soul food offerings, live music, and a Malcolm X exhibit, the event promises solidarity statements from esteemed political representatives and community leaders, alongside words of wisdom from our soon-to-be-announced honoree. Attendees will include community members, current SAMBAM students, and, of course, a heartfelt address from yours truly, Torrence BRANNON-Reese, Founder & CEO of FA-MLI, Inc.
