WITH MAHADEVI & SITA
We start this new endeavor by offering a weekly series of five yoga classes designed for children age 7–11. Sessions will include deep abdominal breathing to calm and regulate the emotions, playful hatha yoga-based movements to build concentration, coordination, strength and flexibility and a final relaxation with guided visualization to encourage awareness and connectedness. The aim is to foster the human values of truth, right conduct, peace, love and non-violence, to show that Yoga is a positive, fun experience that brings happiness.
Super Saturdays: May 11 and 18, June 1, 8 and 15 (No class Memorial Day Weekend.)
Classes will take place outdoors on the mostly-shaded yoga deck. Please bring a water bottle, wear comfortable clothes and arrive a few minutes early to get settled and be ready to start promptly at 10:30am. A student agreement will need to be signed on your first visit. Parents can wait on the front porch. Free parking in rear (double parking is okay).
Instructors
Mahadevi graduated her Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course in the fall of 2022. Sita completed her training in the spring of 2024. Both moms lovingly share their time, energy and yogic lifestyle as shining examples for the kids.
