This training session for afterschool programs emphasizes the importance of parent engagement. At this session, we will discuss strategies for increasing family involvement and engagement. Additionally, participants will also learn how to evaluate program effectiveness by using Nevada's out-of-school time program quality standards.
Learning Outcomes:
- Participants will outline the importance of family engagement in the afterschool setting.
- Participants will describe ways in which a family can be engaged in the afterschool programs .
- Participants will apply their understanding based on the NV out-of-school time quality standards.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
