About this Event
Become a young paleontologist! Join artist David in a trip back in time to the 19th century, when the first fossil hunters were finding fossilised bones of unknown monsters. With a few bones you will create your own artwork of a fabulous creature in the spirit of the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs.
A fun arts and craft workshop with paper, card, glue and colouring pens & pencils.
Friends of Crystal Palace Dinosaurs will also be coming along with some special dinosaur objects to get creative with.
This activity will take place in the beautifully restored Subway. The Subway was opened in 1865 to give train passengers more direct (and less hilly!) access to the famous Crystal Palace.
This workshop is free but should be pre-booked. Suitable for ages 5+. Under 14s must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Accessibility:
Please note there is no step-free access to the Subway. Access is via two flights of stairs with a handrail. The subway has uneven flooring and light changes from bright to dim in various points. Accessibility information including photos of the stairs can be found here: https://www.crystalpalaceparktrust.org/pages/how-to-visit-the-crystal-palace-subway
